Disconnecting to find connection
Have you ever dreamt of silence? The kind that is found when your phone is off and no bells or chimes can notify you of the world and its endless cycle of breaking news. Quiet that is found at the top of hillsides, where the buzz of a phone is replaced by the buzz of bees. A serenity that is felt when strolling through trees instead of scrolling through feeds.
This silence is powerful enough to cut through torrents of likes, shares, and comments. It revitalizes and gives life to new iterations of creativity.
It is important enough to seek out.
Each year, my husband and I set out to find the silence. On the outside, it may look like a break in the routine, but to us, it is a sacred journey. It is where we pay homage to peace, creativity, and our divine nature.
As our journey progresses and disconnects us from reality, the silence we find along the way metamorphosizes into perspective. Here, our views shift, we align with our true selves and tap into our creativity. It is here where disconnecting gives way to authentic connection.
May you seek out the silence.
